Trigonometric function are functions of an angle in a triangle, relating it to the length of its sides. The most common are sine, cosine, and tangent, their reciprocals cosecant, secant, and cotangent, and their inverses arcsine, arccosine, arctangent, arccosecant, arcsecant, and arccotangent (cis is sometimes considered as a trig function as well). All trigonometric functions are periodic with a period of 2π.
