"Divisor" or "Factor"[]
Discussion: Should we prefer "factor" over "divisor" in terminology that we use in this wiki? 71.35.163.235 16:24, 15 October 2006 (UTC)localhost00
Oh, yeah.... BTW... 71.35.163.235 is me. Forgot to sign in. Visiting parents for the weekend :P. Localhost00 16:26, 15 October 2006 (UTC)localhost00
- Personally, I prefer divisor, but that's because I was always taught gcd and lcm. I used factor in the article because that was the precedent set by extant articles. I'm open to either option, though like in the set theory article, I think we need to establish a convention to use so that we aren't constantly going (or divisor) or (or factor) in every mention. --Braindrain0000 03:06, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
